Qualcomm Mesh Networking Platform for Connected Smart Home

Just like our fingerprint and tongue print patterns, every home on the earth is unique. Also, the way utilise our homes is also unique. Qualcomm has identified every utility of house through a series of researches and introduced the new networking platform for smart homes. Qualcomm named this networking platform as The Mesh Networking Platform.

The Mesh Networking Platform consists of a new Wi-Fi gear that replaces a conventional Wi-Fi router. The new Wi-Fi gear uses multiple Wi-Fi router-like devices to provide connectivity throughout the home. The major advantage of this Wi-Fi gear is that it is very easy to install and almost covers connectivity to the home entirely. The router can also be synchronised to cloud using IoT. This Wi-Fi gear also support voice assistance, as it has become one of the basic parameters of being smart.
Qualcomm's Wi-Fi SON allows the Wi-Fi gear to setup the network with simple steps alongside providing the best security possible. The gear works on the latest standards of Wi-Fi 802.11ac, ad and ax. The name of the networking platform is derived from the fact that it uses mesh system for connectivity among the devices. Every device is connected to every other single device in a mesh network. The new Wi-Fi gear is designed to achieve data rate 2-3 times faster than the Wi-Fi routers' data rates available now.
Features of Mesh Networking Platform:
Communication with every smart device:
With new Mesh Networking Platform, the devices like bulbs, thermostats, PCs, mobile devices, smartphones, home appliance and flying robot cleaners can be connected with each other. All these devices use either Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, BLE or 15.4-based technologies for wireless connectivity.
Voice assistance:
All the devices in a smart network are connected with each other. Is it necessary to communicate with every single device to operate it? Obviously NO! The Mesh Networking Platform provides voice assistance to oeprate each of these devices. On the other hand, if your mobile is connected to the network, then you can simply use the voice assistance provided by your mobile operating system - Google Now for Android, Siri for iOS and Cortana for Windows.
Access across devices:
The analytics of every device can be viewed with single touch, as all the devices in the mesh network are synchronised through IoT, based upon which you can optimise the usage of a selected device in the network.
