Facebook, GitHub and Ford Foundation announced $300,000 bounty

Internet Bug Bounty (IBB) was found in 2013, a non-profit bug bounty program in collaboration with information security terms of the tech giants like Facebook and Microsoft. IBB has recently announced that two new investors has turned up - GitHub and Ford Foundation. IBB has also announced that they've received three $100,000 denominations for information security bounty from Facebook, GitHub and Ford Foundation.

IBB is a platform where the white hat hackers can contribute for information security, where they will be rewarded with bounties based upon the added value of the vulnerability. It mainly targets upon the vulnerabilities uncovered in Ruby, PHP, Python and OpenSSL. The IBB is managed by the volunteers from different organizations like Uber, HackerOne, Microsoft, Adobe and Facebook. Out of all the investors, Facebook has been seen collaborating with IBB from its start.

TOR - The Onion Router is the nonprofit body that helps a user to surf the internet without being tracked. Recently, the TOR has announced its first ever bounty program ranging $100-$4000. Google has also announced a huge bounty in the recent times. There are many other organizations providing bounties in order to enhance the information security, where the bounty by IBB is seen highest in the recent times.
